The Company
The 3D Camera Company (3DCC) is a partnership between William (Bill) White, William Reeve and Lacia Kornylo. 3DCC was founded in 2006 as a cooperative venture to develop specialized stereoscopic (3D) image capture equipment for the motion picture and broadcast industry. The offices of 3DCC, located in Toronto, Canada, serve an international market.
Since it’s inception, 3DCC has successfully developed a wide range of specialized and unique stereoscopic systems that integrate with large format systems. 3D Digital-Cinema (DCI compliant) and IMAX formats are supported. 3DCC was the first company to capture RAW uncompressed files for professional Dramatic 3D capture. In conjunction with Silicon Imaging. the 3D-SI Hawkeye system has now been introduced to the market, a camera that contains two SI cameras within one body.
3DCC has also developed, with Silicon Imaging, the SI-3D Broadcast System. The SI-3D Cameras captures and records RAW uncompressed 2K Data [2048 x 1152 pixels] and in Real Time converts the RAW Data to HD-SDI Left and Right eye signals for Live-Data Switching and Up-Link to Satellite for Global Distribution. This 3D System provides for an extremely compact, lightweight and versatile solution for Sports / Broadcast applications. The SI-3D Broadcast System will be used in Brazil at Carnival 2010 and a permanent installation in Webster Hall in NYC for live broadcast.
3DCC also provides technical crews to facilitate your production. We offer the services of experienced, award winning Stereographers, Camera Operators, Assistant Camera persons and Data Information Technologists. Creative and production consulting is also available.
3DCC seeks to establish a full service vehicle for motion pictures and broadcast, supplying the equipment and expertise to allow for smooth and successful productions.
